Sweater Pumpkins

Do you have old sweaters lying around?
If you're looking for easy fall decor then this
is the project for you...did I mention it's easy?

I started with a couple of old sweaters that were
too small for my Daughter and I cut the sleeves
off of them. The length can vary depending on
whether you want short or tall pumpkins.

I turned the sleeves inside out and tied one end
together with twine and then turned it
right side out again and set it aside.

For the stem, I cut out a stem shape onto cardstock
and then traced it onto my fabric.

Place your 2 stem pieces right sides together
and sew all around except the bottom. This can easily
be hand sewn as well. Stuff with
polyester stuffing.

I didn't sew the end together because there was no need.
Getting back to the pumpkin,
fill the sweater sleeve with polyester stuffing
until you have your desired shape. Place the stem
in the opening and tie it off with twine securing
the base of the stem inside the pumpkin.

I tied ribbon, raffia & a leaf around the neck
of the pumpkins to make them even prettier!

For the 4 of these, it took me about an hour to make.
